Who Is The World's Top Expert On Best Robot Vacuum That Mops?
The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are ideal for those who are looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. Some models have superior mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other models, making it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.
It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.
vacuum bot is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well however it's something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and effectively. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rug.
This device has a fairly high price tag but comes with a large selection of innovative features. It is important to note, however, that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home neat without spending too much time doing chores. Its powerful performance, smart navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that includes a microfiber pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping, but it does mean you don't have to fret about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.
Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture the majority of hair our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was beginning or finishing its work.
Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a problem for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dustbin and an 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to start a cleaning job or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in finding objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxy models.
